Description
Theater for Humanity is led by a theater artist or practitioner who commands an understanding of a diverse theater skillset including: acting, directing and writing. The program begins with a series of 12 workshops designed for 14 participants: 7 formerly incarcerated persons and 7 police officers. These sessions are led by the theater artist or practitioner. The Workbook & Reader is designed to guide theater artists & practitioners through the process. It includes:
- Lectures and Skills By Session
- Themes and Topics for Each Session
- Excerpts from relevant book and articles
- Scenes from plays about police and community relations
The theater artist or practitioner will lead and engage in a manner that gradually allows the participants to take over the process when the workshops are complete.
